Driver dies after his car was struck at an East Raleigh intersection, police say
A medical emergency may have caused the accident at New Bern Avenue and Freedom Drive on Friday, Raleigh police say. A 65-year-old man died after a two-vehicle accident Friday night that may have been caused by a medical emergency, according to Raleigh police.Robert Traczewski died at a hospital following the crash at the intersection of Freedom Drive and New Bern Avenue, Raleigh police said in a news release.Raleigh police did not identify the man driving the pickup, who was also taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.No charges have been filed, but the crash remains under investigation, Raleigh police said.
